About Me

 Hey there! My name is Julia and I am currently living in San Diego. I grew up at a campground in a small mountain town called Pine Valley and I still love to go hiking out there when I can. I am technically working towards a degree in psychology right now, but I am becoming increasingly more tempted to switch to an education or liberal studies degree to pursue teaching. I am currently a full-time kindergarten teacher and as each day passes I think more and more about teaching other age groups as well. When I started at OSU last term, I was set on becoming a park ranger due to my love for nature and getting to work at national parks. That being said, I think I would really miss teaching and it would be a drastically more stable career. As for hobbies, I love going exploring whether it is a road trip, hiking, traveling to a new state/country, or simply trying out a new restaurant. I am also very passionate about music. Although I am extremely shy, I like to sing, play the piano/ukulele, and write my own songs. I used to record my songs and upload them to my YouTube channel when I was younger, but I lost motivation. I would really like to start writing and uploading songs again. Maybe this class will spark my motivation again. The last thing I would like to mention about myself is that I have a cat named Ponyo whom I love dearly. I did have another cat (Ponyo's sister) named Tomantha, but she has been missing for almost two months now. Anyway, thank you for reading my post and I hope you have a wonderful week!
